A graduate in Graphic Design from The Pacific Northwest College of Art, Portland, USA, Beng Seng has over 25 years of design experience.
In the States, he interned and worked with Principia Graphica (formerly Rickabaugh Design) for a year-and-a-half, during which he was involved in projects ranging from the development of corporate identities to brochure, press advertising, tee-shirt and package design.

In Singapore, he has worked with YWA & Associates, YTJ Kent, Octogram Design Pte Ltd, Design Counsel Pte Ltd (Now known as Interbrand) and most recently, The Blue Tangerine Design (S) Pte Ltd, where he was responsible for setting up and building the business. He served as Design Director and was a director in the company.

Beng Seng set up his own company Onion Design in 1999 and, is responsible for planning and directing all strategic and creative work. He has worked with a wide range of local, multinational and regional clients, including Economic Development Board, Jurong Town Corporation, Singapore Tourism Board, Hong How Group, Singapore Computer Systems, Wing Tai Holdings, Scotts Holdings, IBM, 3M, Motorola, Habitat Properties Pte Ltd, Shangri-La Hotel, Hotel Properties Limited, Far East Organization Pte Ltd, Hotel Plaza Limited, United Overseas Land, Mowilex (Indonesia), PT Aqua Mississippi (Indonesia),Rancamaya (Indonesia), Rashid Hussein Sdn Bhd (Malaysia) and The Legends Golf & Country Resort Sdn Bhd (Malaysia).

During his time at The Blue Tangerine, he and his team have won international awards such as The Donside Awards (Silver Print Award, Scotland), The New York Festival of Advertising (Silver Design Award, USA), and locally they have received merit awards in International Singapore Designs Awards, The Horseman and Creative Circle Awards.
His work has been displayed in The International Design Forum, a major design event organised by IE Singapore, in London, Tokyo and Korea. He has served as the Vice President of the Designers Association Singapore for three terms and was Chairman of the organising committee for the International Singapore Design Awards for three awards.
He currently is a part time lecturer at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, The Bachelor of Arts Graphic Communications programme and First Media Design School.
