Founder & Principal

Mark Phooi graduated from UNSW with a Master's degree in Design. Spearheading over 20 design communication agencies in Singapore and regionally, Mark has garnered multiple creative and business awards during his two decades of professional experiences in the design industry.
As CEO of the First Media Consulting Group, Mark won both the prestigious Enterprise 50 Start-up Award in 2005 and Top Entrepreneurs of the Year Award in 2006, a feat no trained graphic designer has ever accomplished.

As manager and leader, Mark has trained and nurtured more than 30 'DesignPreneurs' throughout his career by means of his own brand of design management. Mark's brand of 'tested and tried' Design Management programme was created to nurture and equip FMDS students, with skills and management know-how to become future 'DesignPreneurs'.

Alex Yong
Chief Executive Officer

Mr Yong has a wealth of experience in business and corporate finance.

He was the CEO of a public company listed on the main board of the Singapore Stock Exchange before retiring in early 2009 to pursue his personal interest in corporate mergers and acquisitions.

He possesses credible accounting and auditing experience, overseeing international systems and controls in a major multi-national corporation, as well as an auditor in one of the then Big Eight accounting firms.

Mr Yong is a member of the Certified Public Accountants of ICPAS Singapore and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration.
