Wanganui School of Design
The degrees in Computer Graphic Design are jointly awarded by the Wanganui School of Design, University of Waikato and Universal College of Learning in recognition of the design technology and research relationship established between these institutions.

The Wanganui School of Design emerged in the late 1980s and soon gained an international reputation for experimental work in new media and graphic design. Today, it is a creditable and distinctive voice in design education. The Wanganui School of Design occupies its own multi storey building in central Wanganui. Spacious studio environments attract highly motivated students and staff from many parts of the world.

The three institution focussed on working through a process of creative collaboration, extending the boundaries of talents towards fulfilling our potential. Computer suites are among the best in the Pacific Rim, with state of the art technology for both multimedia authoring, graphic design exploration and digital imaging. With these facilities, we meet and surpass the high expectations of our industry collaborators. This educational document is fully accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) and The New Zealand Vice-Chancellors’ Committee (NZVCC). 


UCOL - Universal College of Learning – founded in 1906, UCOL delivers Foundation and Certificate programmes, Diplomas, Degrees and Post-Graduate programmes across a wide range of subjects as well as community based programmes.UCOL is a government funded Institute of Technology with campuses in Masterton, Palmerston North and Whanganui.
