At the end of this programme, you will acquire the skill to proficiently plan, execute and optimise digital marketing campaigns across various social media platforms. You will also be able to build a good website and create your own engaging content to boost that will surely expand your digital footprint.
All participants will also complete an online course – Google Digital Garage, under the guidance of their trainers. This programme is ideal for those looking for a formal qualification and holistic understanding of the ever-changing realm of digital marketing.
What will you learn?
Module 1: Content Marketing
This module teaches Students how to create an overall content marketing strategy that utilises the affordances of online platforms to share their content. Additionally, it will share the best practices of content marketing so as to assist in their overall digital marketing strategies. Furthermore, it will also inform Students of how different types of content makes for better marketing on different platforms due to the technical affordances of the platform as well as the preferences of potential leads present on the platform.
Module 2: Social Media Globalized Marketing
This module prepares Students for regionalisation by teaching them the differences in social media participation in different countries in the Asia-Pacific region. They will be taught the importance of linguistic contextualisation, as well as the different ways that different social media platforms are used in different countries. Students will learn how to restrategise their digital marketing efforts when they move into different markets.
Module 3: Digital Video Marketing and Psychology
This module teaches Students how to use videos effectively as digital marketing tools. They will be taught the similarities and differences between curated video content, thematic video content, vlogs and live streams. For each of these different types of videos, there are different psychological issues associated with what the audience wants to see, and with what would call the audience to action.
Module 4: Absolute Remarketing
This module teaches Students how to remarket and retarget customers which are supplementary steps to reconvert leads.
Module 5: Digital Marketing Fundamentals
This module is aimed at Students to learn about how digital marketing works. They will be introduced to the concept of marketing funnels, as well as organic and paid marketing methods through popular platforms such as Google, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.
Module 6: Design Thinking for Digital Marketing
This module is aimed to teach Students how to strategize ads using the non-linear iterative design thinking methodology. Students will be introduced to the basics of persona building, empathy mapping, idea generation and prototyping of ads. They will learn how to prototype an advertising creative, creating an attractive headline and copywriting.
Capstone Project: Digital Marketing Strategic Optimisation
This module is a capstone module aimed at consolidating all the knowledge gained by Students into one self-directed project. This project requires them to develop a strategic digital marketing plan that contains the organic and paid marketing strategies for a chosen brand.

Specialist Diploma level
Applicants will be enrolled directly into Specialist Diploma programmes if they meet the following criteria:
- Singaporean and Singapore PR applicants: 5 ‘N’ Level subjects including English with minimum C6 grade for each subject, or equivalent
- 18 years old and above
- Foreign applicants: Completion of Grade 10 taught in English or completion of Grade 10 not taught in English with minimum IELTS score of 5 or minimum TOEFL score of 55, or equivalent
Applicants will be given conditional entry into Specialist Diploma programmes based on the following criteria:
- Submission of a design portfolio subjected to assessment by FMDS Academic Team AND
- Submission of resume and Letter(s) of Identity from employer(s) for matured candidates of minimum 25 years of age with a minimum of 2 years of working experience in a related field AND
- Completion of the FMDS Design Foundation programme with a minimum Credit grade
For the successful graduation from any FMDS qualification, students are required to pass all modules. For Specialist Diploma, Diploma and Advanced Diploma students, they are additionally required to successfully complete their Final Major Projects as well.
Assessment and Examination Methods
Assessments for each of the modules under each qualification is based on a student project to be completed by the student. It will be conducted by a qualified examiner to be appointed by the school. Students will be given ample time to prepare their deliverables for assessment and the assessment date will be informed in advance. The appointed examiner will grade student assessments based on a standardised gradesheet given by the school. Students are also entitled to appeal the grades they receive should they feel that there was either a procedural error, evidence of a failure of supervision or other extenuating circumstances.
Requirements of Industry Attachments
Students which sign up for the Advanced Diplomas will be required to undergo an industrial attachment programme at the tail end of their studies. Students will be matched up with a participating partner to undergo this industrial attachment where they will receive on-the-job training in the following: design and management, human relations, computer applications, cost implications, safety measures, quality control, productivity and marketing.
